We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking

Location: Lagos

Job objective

  • Responsible for originating and managing the relationships with Corporates in various sector across the country/region.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Originate, maintain and develop relationships in the corporate market in line with Bank’s risk appetite
  • Manage a corporate loan book within parameters provided by Risk Management / Management Board
  • Cross sell Structured Trade & Commodity Finance-, Treasury- / Payment products and other products
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and prepare credit applications for new loan facilities for Corporate Banking clients
  • Present and defend Corporate Banking credit applications in the Management and Credit Committee
  • Provide regular credit reviews of Corporate Banking clients
  • Review and authorize Corporate Banking credit applications from account managers prior to submission to Risk Management
  • Cultivates new deposits and lending opportunities that can be developed into strategic relationships
  • Manage a corporate liability & loan book within parameters provided by Risk Management / Management Board
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and coordinate with Credit/legal for credit applications for new loan facilities for Corporate Banking clients
  • Responsible for annual goals tied to deposit growth, loan volume, fee income generation and cross-sales and zero/low NPL ratio.

Work Experience & Education Requirement

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or equivalent
  • A Post graduate degree in Management or Professional qualification is an added advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years Corporate Banking cognate experience
  • Good understanding of the economic drivers of structured finance transactions.
  • Strong affinity to credit risk analysis in structured finance transactions.
  • Proven track record in a variety of structured finance transactions/portfolio risk analysis.
  • Proven experience in strategic management.

Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience preferably within the financial services environment.
