Brief Description

You may be qualified to apply for an Excellence Scholarship worth up to £2,000 if you are in Years 1 or 2 of a full-time undergraduate program or Year 1 alone of a full-time foundation degree in the academic year 2022–2023 only.

Excellence Scholarships have nothing to do with your academic record, degree field, or financial position. We want to hear from you if you have accomplished something you are proud of and can show that you are committed, determined, and successful outside of the classroom.

Scholarship Award Benefit

All of the following will be provided by the university:

• If you are applying in Year 1 of a full-time undergraduate degree (BA/BEng/BSc/LLB/MBChB) or integrated master’s degree (MComp/MEng/MNSW/MSci), you must pay £2,000 throughout the length of your degree in installments.
• If you are applying in your second year of a full-time undergraduate degree (BA, BEng, BSc,LLB, MBChB) or an integrated master’s degree (MComp, MEng, MNSW, MSci), the fee is $1,000, paid over the length of your degree in installments.
• If you are applying in Year 1 of a full-time foundation degree (FdA/FdSc), the fee is £1,000, paid over the length of your degree in installments.

All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Excellence Scholarships at Edge Hill University, UK 2023-24:

• you have to be signed up for:
  • Year 1 of a full-time foundation degree; Year 1 of an undergraduate degree from Edge Hill University (BA/BEng/BSc/LLB/MBChB) or an integrated master’s degree (MComp/MEng/MNSW/MSci).
  • Students pursuing conversion degrees (top-ups), Erasmus students, repeat students, and Edge Hill University permanent workers are not eligible

Application Procedure

The following procedure remains the only viable route to apply rightfully:

• You must fill out and submit our Excellence Scholarship application form in order to be considered for an Excellence Scholarship.
• Applications for scholarships have already been closed. Applying through the Student Life Portal is preferred when they reopen.  Please send an email to Scholarships@edgehill.ac.uk if you experience any issues.
• All submitted applications will be evaluated by a selection panel.
