Job Description
- Maintaining inventory of packaging materials such as boxes, labels, tape, shipping supplies, etc.
- Inspecting products for damage during shipping to ensure that they arrived at their destination without spoiling or being damaged
- Packaging items such as products
- Preparing items for shipping by wrapping them in protective materials such as paper or plastic
- Creating labels for shipping containers such as boxes or crates.
- Operating machineries such as forklifts and conveyor belts to move packages between departments
- Organizing items in storage areas by type or size to make it easier to locate specific items quickly
- Performing other clerical tasks such as maintaining inventory records or filing shipping documents
- Labeling items with bar codes or other identifying information
