UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship 2022-2023 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. These scholarships are available for masters and PhD. This scholarship covers waived tuition (every semester), registration (one-time), service and activities (including thesis and convocation) fees and much more.
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is pleased to announce that the UKM Vice-Chancellor Gold and Silver Scholarships are now open for application. These scholarships are open to prospective local and international students who will register as fulltime Masters and Doctor of Philosophy (by research)  students.
Achievement Evaluation of Gold and Silver Vice-Chancellor’s performance will be held during the study term (annually) and if the recipient does not satisfy the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) provided then the scholarship may be terminated or any other decision as determined by the Selection Committee.

Scholarship Coverage for Fully Funded UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship 2023

UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship covers below benefits to their recipients:
Gold Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • Waived tuition (every semester), registration (one-time), service and activities (including
    thesis and convocation) fees.
  • Living allowance of RM3200 per month for PhD. and RM2200 for Masters.
  • Accommodation allowance of RM300 per month.
  • One roundtrip flight ticket (economy class) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
    from home country and to home country from KLIA for International, Sabahan and
    Sarawakian candidates.
  • Cost of visa throughout postgraduate studies (International students only).

Silver Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • Waived registration (one-time) and tuition (every semester) fees.
  • Living allowance of RM2000 per month for PhD. and RM1500 for Masters
    candidates.
  • Accommodation allowance of RM300 per month.

Eligibility Criteria for UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship

To qualify for UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship, candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements below:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All world countries

Gold Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • Applicant ought to be registered as fulltime postgraduate student by Research
  • For MSc applicant, candidates must have obtained Bachelor’s Degree with
    Distinction CGPA of at least of 3.67 or a First Class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
    from a reputable university AND must show credibility as a scholar.
  • For PhD applicant, candidates must have obtained Master’s degree or equivalent
    from a reputable university; MUST have published at least TWO (2) articles in Q2
    journal and above as first student author.

Silver Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • The applicant ought to be registered as full-time postgraduate student by Research or Mixed Mode.
  • For MSc applicant, candidates must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction CGPA of at least of 3.67 or a First Class Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a reputable university AND must show credibility as a scholar.
  • For Ph.D. applicant, candidates must have obtained a Master’s degree or equivalent from a reputable university; MUST have published at least TWO (2) articles in Q3 journal and above as first student author.

How to Apply for UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship?

  2. Applicants will need to download and complete the application form from here.
  3. The application form along with the required supporting documents, should be emailed to graduate@ukm.edu.my.
