Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

• Are you a recent accounting graduate looking for an opportunity to test your financial/accounting skills in real-life situations? Do you want a unique opportunity to obtain insights into the world of finance in a fast-evolving digital agency?
• Big Field Digital is proud to be one of the fastest-growing Digital Agencies in Nigeria. We are currently looking for a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles and terms. You should be ready for an immersive, real-world experience and expect to prepare and analyze financial reports, financial data, and assist with general accounting activities. To thrive in this position, we expect you to be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents, to be presented to senior management.
• Working with bookkeeping software to manage daily expenses.
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Tracking all company payments made for tax preparation and follow-up on returns.
• Assisting with the balancing of the office/department budget.
• Handling other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Recent Graduate with BSc / HND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
• Must have completed NYSC OR have proof of exemption.
• 0 – 1 year of hands-on experience.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Great interpersonal skills and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be tech-savvy.
• High level of efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
• Knowledge of accounting software will be an added advantage.
• Bonus if you have completed ICAN or are at the final stage.
